Volvo Service Advisor
- Location: Lipscomb Volvo Maidstone
- Salary: £29,750 basic per annum + bonus scheme + benefits
- Contract: Permanent
- Hours: Full Time 8.00am – 5.30pm Mon – Friday (Saturday morning rota 8.30 -1.00pm. Lieu Day Provided)
Lipscomb Maidstone is located just 2 minutes from J6 of the M20 at Aylesford in prestigious facilities showcasing the Volvo brand.
We have an exciting opportunity for someone with extensive Service Advisor experience to join our team as a Service Advisor working closely with the Service Manager and Senior Service Advisor.
The successful applicant will be a confident relationship builder, able to influence and advise customers on all technical and motor related issues whilst delivering a premium service. They will be greeting customers into the service department, assisting the Service Manager, and supporting technicians in the workshop to chase work in progress, keeping customers informed, gaining authorisation and final handover.
They will take ownership of customer queries and resolve issues to deliver First class customer satisfaction, following the protocols set to achieve daily target objectives and the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
Duties will include:
- Receive incoming calls for service, repair and maintenance and handle department enquiries
- Loading of workshop diaries and booking systems (Pinewood Pinnacle DMS)
- Initiate service documentation, job card production, update of history files
- Ensure customer awareness of all products and services available by professional presentation
- Professionally sell additional products, services, and repair work as appropriate to customers’ needs
- Notify customer of progress, completion of work or any delay/problems encountered
- Administration of vehicle warranty claims
- Administer electronic vehicle health checks, on selling of advised work, preparation of estimates etc.
- Handover and delivery of vehicles on completion
Skills and experience required:
Essential
- Previous experience in the motor trade working within the Service Team
- Ability to communicate clearly with staff, customers, and prospects
- Ability to sell incremental products and access further sales opportunities
- Excellent listening and communication skills, able to interpret information and give feedback
- Able to gain commitment to appointment bookings and upsell products when they arise
- Able to work to achieve targets and influence objectives of the business
Desirable:
- Vehicle or Technical knowledge would be a strong advantage in the successful applicant.
