Bar Staff Job Description
Duties:
- Cashiering: Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Bussing: Clear and clean tables, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
- Cash handling: Count and reconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Kitchen: Assist with basic food preparation and plating.
- Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the bar area.
- Guest relations: Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all guests.
- Basic math: Perform calculations for cash transactions and inventory management.
- Food preparation: Assist with preparing drinks and garnishes as per recipes.
- Math: Calculate bills accurately, including taxes and gratuities.
- Hospitality: Create a welcoming atmosphere for guests, ensuring their needs are met.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
