Role: Permanent, full-time
Who we are, what we do...
We’re a multi-discipline digital agency with a strong SEO heritage of more than 20 years. We pride ourselves on working in partnership with our clients, providing them with strategic leadership that helps them become better marketers and SEOs.
We take a user-first approach to everything we do across the agency. In SEO, we focus on what people are trying to achieve through search and delivering that through intuitive experiences. We don’t optimise content for algorithms and ranking factors and don’t rely on the received SEO wisdom of what worked 10 years ago.
We don’t view SEO as a siloed discipline, and we don’t use cookie cutters. Instead, we strive to understand the wider context of our clients' verticals, their target audiences and customers, and how SEO impacts other channels or functions. This way, we deliver greater value to our clients according to their needs and tailored to their business.
Who we're looking for...
We want to hear from people who are experienced but also think differently about SEO and can apply critical thinking to so-called best practices; people who can deconstruct a problem to understand its causes and develop effective solutions; leaders who can support our colleagues and clients in growing their SEO knowledge and ability.
In this role, you will be expected to play a lead role in audit and migration projects and act as a strategic lead for retained clients. You have exemplary technical SEO knowledge, experience working with international sites and a strong understanding of sustainable and progressive link strategy. You can work effectively in collaboration with design, UX and content experts on website content, architecture and navigation.
You understand SEO’s strategic relevance to and interaction with other digital and business initiatives. You can demonstrate experience in developing a compelling business case to ensure SEO work is allocated appropriate resource.
With an analytical mindset, you’re adept at working with large data sets to extract meaningful insight. You can employ data storytelling to advocate for SEO. You can present a complex idea concisely, building understanding among those with little or no specialist knowledge.
As an assured presenter, you can develop new business proposals and contribute to pitches and tender responses for dedicated SEO and multi-discipline opportunities. You’re an educator who can help our clients to work more effectively in SEO or build understanding among specialists in other fields through workshops and training sessions.
You have previous line management experience, coaching people with empathy and supporting their personal development goals. This is an exciting opportunity to support and nurture the development of a talented team of people.
What you will be doing
The successful candidate will sit within the conversion services team and will report to the Head of department.
You will work closely with clients and the wider team to identify optimisation opportunities, define strategy and implement engaging programmes of experimentation whilst embedding best practice and increasing the maturity level and subject matter expertise of interfacing client teams.
You'll be supported by an amazing team of conversion strategists, user research specialists, analysts, account directors, project managers, digital consultants, designers and developers here at Fresh Egg. You will work with the team to effectively steer, guide, ensure clarity and build strong relationships.
You'll conduct the analysis and research needed to understand and solve problems, identify and conceptualise solutions, split test them, and report to various stakeholders on results and recommendations.
You will be involved in the whole agency vs customer lifecycle from marketing through to pre-sales, proposal and pitch to running strategic or implementation activities. You're likely to grow the number of line reports you manage as we grow this essential service area at Fresh Egg.
To apply, please send your CV to [email protected]
Key responsibilities:

Produce realistic forecasts and measure the performance impact of SEO campaigns
Ensure that account and project activities are well-managed, producing results on time and budget
Understand the products/services, competition, industry, marketing goals and objectives of each of the clients you work on
Act as the specialist lead for new clients, overseeing initial consultancies and audits, crafting strategies and then overseeing implementation work
Work closely with the conversion, content and design teams to ensure that all concepts, prototypes, wireframes and UX recommendations are audience-focussed and comply with search engine guidelines
Work with the client services team to identify and scope opportunities to increase SEO-related revenue from our existing clients
Support the business development team with pre-sale activities, driving leads and increasing SEO-related new business for the agency
Support the Head of Search in developing the position of the company on its approach to SEO, increasing the awareness of the Fresh Egg SEO team within the industry
Follow industry news and trends and support the evolution of our SEO services to ensure they remain effective while seeking efficiency in our processes
What you will have:
Skilled at identifying clients’ needs and designing bespoke strategies for them to achieve their goals
A passion for emerging platforms and a broad knowledge of effective SEO strategies and techniques

Our core values
Helpful
If you’re going to go the extra mile, you may as well make the journey easy. We’re efficient, responsive and reliable. We help our clients by thinking about things they haven’t thought about. Whenever they need us, we’re there.
Truthful
The truth only hurts if it’s something nobody wants to hear. We don’t spin yarns, we don’t bend the truth and we don’t string anyone along.
Tenacious
We delve, burrow, and probe until every ounce of insight has been extracted. Then we think, explore and innovate until we’ve found the best ways to use it.
Pioneering
Having 21 years of experience doesn’t mean we sit back and enjoy the view. Our people push the boundaries so we can always find new ways to engage customers and drive results.
