An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented SEO content writer to join our busy and rapidly growing SEO agency in Southampton.
We are looking for someone with a creative and strategic mind who can craft and edit clear, well-researched content that educates and engages an audience, boosts Google rankings, and pitches our clients as experts in their industries.

Under the guidance of our SEO Team, you will learn advanced copywriting skills, SEO strategies and develop your technical SEO knowledge. This role is ideal for a competent writer who is looking to become an expert in content led SEO.

Responsibilities:
- Writing, editing and optimising existing content in Surfer SEO
- Publishing content in WordPress CMS
- On-page optimisation
- Create compelling evergreen web content for a range of clients to multiple demographic audiences
- Craft insightful blog posts and pages that will inform and inspire consumers in order to create both sales and leads
- Coordinating with internal team to ensure proper implementation of SEO best practices
- Keeping up-to-date on the latest industry trends in SEO
Qualifications and Experience:
- This role would be suitable for a graduate who has a degree in English or Journalism or someone with 2+ years relevant copywriting experience
- An individual who has excellent English verbal and written skills
- Someone who has a strategic mind but with creative flair
- Basic SEO content knowledge (content and on-page optimisation - training provided)
- Experience of writing in Surfer SEO (desired but not essential - training provided)
- Great attention to detail, proofing and editing skills
- Good command of Google docs and sheets
- Part of this job is also being able to manage deadlines - so being organised is essential
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience using software such as Hubspot, Asana, Notion
