What is the role
Reporting into the Trading Manager, the SEO Assistant will be part of the SEO team tasked to organically grow the traffic and revenue of this channel. This involves conducting keyword research, optimising content, and ensuring best practise across the site in order to reach the forecasts and objectives set out by the business.
What you will do
- Assist in growing organic traffic and revenue in line with business objectives and traffic and revenue targets
- Perform regular keyword research in-line with business objectives and seasonality
- Write engaging and functional copy for the categories and subcategories to maintain and improve ranking
- Write engaging and functional copy for all site content based on identified opportunities for growth
- Assist in the development and content of the blog. Writing up to three exciting, on brand blogs each week.
- Assist with content writing for the site and wider marketing department on and ad-hoc basis
- Perform regular competitor analysis to identify opportunities within the market
- Assist on the reporting on the performance of the channel, monitoring against key KPIs to ensure development of the channel
What you will bring
- BA/BSc or equivalent working experience
- A strong understating of tone of voice, copy writing and content writing
- An understanding of digital marketing channels and e-commerce
- Ability to use innovative, identify opportunities and present achievable solutions
- Ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders
- Good time management skills to deliver in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of digital marketing channels, specifically SEO
- Experience of content or copy writing
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics
- Use of platforms such as WordPress would be advantageous
