Job description

We are recruiting for a Senior Warehouse Team Leader to support in the day-to-day running of our Basildon warehouse and acting as a deputy in the absence of the Warehouse Manager. This role is perfect for someone who has experience as a Warehouse Supervisor/Team Leader and looking to step up to a new challenge. In this role your key responsibilities will include:

• Picking and packing
• Delegating work to the team
• Ensuring the warehouse is kept clean and tidy at all times
• Operating the forklift (training will be provided)
• Assisting with the goods in process, to include vehicle inspection checks, as well as supporting the Warehouse Manager in checking the correct goods arrive
• Deputising for the Warehouse Administrator in their absence, which will include using the computer system to update stock, despatch orders and print paperwork. Therefore, confidence in using a computer and learning new systems is essential.
• Receiving goods on the system and ensuring all paperwork is correct
• Liaising with the customer service teams for orders and the finance team when relevant stock paperwork is required
• Stock checks
• Working with the Quality Auditor to ensure actions from the warehouse maintenance and inspections log are resolved in a timely manner
• Sourcing contractors and being their first point of contact (ie pest control)
• Greeting visitors on site and ensuring they complete the hygiene check form and visitor sign-in forms
• Assisting with fire alarm checks
• Assisting with quality checks
• Weekly inspections of stock and racking checks
• Identifying any issues and areas for improvement
• Keyholder for the warehouse
• Deputising for the Warehouse Manager and Warehouse Administrator in their absence

Hours of work

• Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (40 hours per week)

• Warehouse Manager
