Proofpoint is looking for an outstanding Sr. UX Designer to join the Insider Threat Management team. You’ll work with an experienced team of designers, developers, and product managers throughout all stages of an agile software development process to deliver valuable capabilities and insights for our users.
The right candidate will have prior enterprise experience, working on complex Cloud or Big Data products and has demonstrated experience designing intuitive, scalable and re-usable interfaces. Most importantly, the ideal candidate is a critical thinker with a strong human centered design process and attention to detail. The individual is proactive, creative, collaborative, has a strong technology background and is passionate about design and software development in the fast-paced cybersecurity market.
Your day to day
- Translate concepts and requirements into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes
- Iterate quickly on new and existing product features with internal stakeholders, as well as customers, to craft a great product and user experience
- Be the voice of the customer and a vocal advocate for user centered design
- Regularly present your work to our stakeholders, both for input and to champion your projects
- Use design thinking techniques to collaborate with engineering and product management, to influence strategy and roadmap
- Work closely with each member of the design team and our extended design team partners to build cohesive end to end customer experiences throughout Proofpoint
What you bring to the Team
- 5+ years of solid work experience contributing with relevant work to the success of products
- Experience in designing web applications with a capacity for simplifying complexity and ability to create highly intuitive experiences
- A clear understanding of design thinking processes, and human centered design methodologies for identifying and solving problems.
- Dedicated, team-oriented, flexible and strong attention to detail.
- An outstanding online portfolio that you can share with us
Preferences
- Your focus is Interaction design and you have a 2nd interest/background: Research, Visual design, IA, or CSS/HTML
- You have prior enterprise experience working on complex Cloud or Big Data products
- You have experience with data-visualization and analytical data presentation including information rich charts & graphs.
- You have a Human Factors or Design related degree
- You understand how HTML/CSS works (Not coding necessary)
