About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Treasury team as a Senior Treasury Analyst. You will be part of an agile and high performing team of eight Partners, where you are very much encouraged to bring yourself to work each and every day.

In the role you will report to the Treasury Manager. You will take a leading role in the team’s liquidity and financial risk management. This will include day-to-day execution of cash management and FX & commodities trades, as well as responsibility for helping to drive both the team’s investment and risk management strategy. A strong, analytical mindset will also be needed to tackle ad-hoc insight and analysis for senior leadership as required. There will also be opportunities to support external funding and refinancing activities, debt investor relations, pension risk management and capital structure activities.

Day to day you will be:

  • Preparing daily cash management proposals and executing trades

  • Working closely with the cash forecasting team and taking responsibility for understanding the business’s cash requirements.

  • Assist with debt investor relations, pension risk management and capital structure activities.

  • Owning the FX and commodity hedging programmes and executing trades to ensure effective risk management and compliance with the Treasury Policy.

  • Have a strong understanding of the key financial market risks for the Partnership, including FX, interest rates, inflation, and commodities.

  • Deliver the Treasury Performance Report summarising the department’s compliance with the Treasury Standard, issued to the Head of Treasury every month, and to the Partnership Finance Director each quarter.

  • Support the Assistant Treasurer on funding & refinancing activities, and ensuring financial covenant headroom is sufficient and well managed.

  • Provide analytical and modelling support to senior leadership and other members of the team as necessary.

Essential skills you’ll need

  • Relevant Treasury experience in a large corporate environment. Corporate Finance, Debt Investor Relations and/or Pensions experience also considered.

  • Part or Fully Qualified Treasurer (AMCT). Accounting (ACCA, ICAS, ICAEW, CGMA) or other suitable qualifications will be considered.

  • Knowledge of financial instruments and financial markets

  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate complex topics effectively, both orally and in writing, with people at all levels

  • Strong attention to detail with a critical mindset

  • Well developed modelling and analytical skills
