The role / who we are looking for:

  • An experienced Senior Test Manager, who brings a wealth of experience, to help navigate large programmes successfully through from setup to completion
  • Maintain and improve QA process, procedures and tooling to ensure that the team are able to deliver great quality software to each of our clients
  • Leading, mentoring and nurturing a high performing team
  • Provide strong technology leadership to deliver high quality projects on time and within budget
  • Demonstrate high level of interpersonal skills and gravitas
  • Pre-sales engagement including testing strategy, tooling and other early opportunity activities such as bid-response writing
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Work with the Director of QA to develop the team strategy, ways of working, address gaps, take on specific improvement initiatives, and support in driving these out to the wider team
  • Supports the Director of QA in measuring quality across sectors - to identify issues and trends; draw up investment cases; drive out improvements, and measure outcomes.
  • Any other tasks reasonably requested.

Skills & Experience:

Candidates are expected to have all the following skills;

  • Test Team Management experience across multiple large and concurrent projects
  • Defining and implementing effective test strategies
  • Identifying gaps, and driving out best practise
  • Experienced in Accessibility, Performance and/or Security testing
  • Experienced in environment progression and release management
  • SME in tooling i.e. automation, performance
  • Training and mentoring team members

  • Strong client engagement and stakeholder management skills
  • Effective line management and coaching skills
  • Provides organisational leadership

Professional attributes

  • ISTQB Practitioner or similar
