Senior Support Worker
A fantastic new opportunity has arisen for a high calibre person to join a support team, which is managed by Westcountry Case Management.
Required to work with a young lady with cerebral palsy in her own home in the Tredegar area of South Wales. The role is to provide practical support and ensure safety with everyday activities in the community such as shopping, attending appointments.
You will also facilitate the client’s independence by adopting the appropriate approach as advised by the case manager and therapists and in consultation with the client.
We require a person with motivational leadership qualities to join as senior support worker who will provide a positive influence and a strong desire to have a positive effect on the client, and a commitment to supporting and promoting her individual needs, skills, abilities and personal goals.
Personal qualities of resilience, empathy and self-confidence are as important as previous experience.
An NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in care and a full driving licence is essential.
Hours – 25 hours per week.
To be able to work flexibly within a rota which will be agile across a month. Regular hours may occur due the nature of shift patterns however, no set days are to be relied upon.
£14 per hour
Waking night shifts also available.
£11.50 waking night rate (10pm – 7am)
This position requires a fully enhanced disclosure request from the DBS.
You will also be required to register with the DBS Update Service.
