Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £39,248 to £43,517 per annum (Grade K) | Norwich

We’re looking for a Senior Stakeholder and Consultation Officer to join our communications team. This is a good opportunity to work on high-profile engagement and consultation projects for one of the country’s largest authorities.

You will be responsible for researching and planning engagement activities and preparing high quality briefing materials for stakeholders. You will be experienced in delivering consultations and well versed in writing consultation plans for sharing via our online consultation hub and other channels should this be required.

You will work in partnership with members of our Intelligence & Analytics team to analyse consultation reports and present the findings following our corporate style. You will also work alongside our media and marketing colleagues to develop key messages and questions and answers to support Norfolk County Council’s engagement and consultation activity.

We’re looking for someone who can take complex briefs, create a well-organised delivery plan, has good attention to detail, can juggle workloads and is self-motivated with a desire to see projects through from start to finish while working collaboratively with communications colleagues and officers from across the council. Ideally, you will have at least 5 years’ experience working within a corporate communications or research environment. Awareness of the local political system would be useful but not essential.

It is the authority responsible for everything from highways to schools, trading standards to adult social care, economic development to libraries and museums. NCC works in close partnership with district and parish councils and also with other agencies across the county including business groups and the emergency services.
