This role will be field based all across the North East. This means you are required to have a full UK diving licence.

As a Senior Specialist Engineer you will work across a range of products, but your main focus will be on our most complex solutions. In this role you will be working within the Business Field Service team, helping them to use the power of communication to make a better world for our customers, society and communities. Customer expectations are increasingly shaped by their consumer experiences, and having good customer service is integral in business operations. You will be ensuring any technical aspect is resolved to allow us to continue delivering the best service to our customers UK wide.

What you'll be doing

  • Install, maintain and repair BT Business's most complex voice solutions, e.g. Avaya Red & Specialist applications. As well as this you will optimise, set up and repair server infrastructure and associated BT SIP and CPE/gateways.
  • Work on complex data networks (typically WANs and LANs) in your teams portfolio, in particular Avaya.
  • Readily available to help customers per their request in setting up and installing equipment, including things they may prefer you to do on their behalf.
  • Listen to service issues and make sure the right teams deal with them as appropriate.
  • Recommend products and services and where appropriate pass on leads to our sales team.

The skills you'll need

  • Avaya Aura Contract Centre (AACC) experience.
  • Brilliant customer service to be able to listen with empathy to needs of our customers.
  • Security Clearance (SC minimum) and willingness to be Police Vetted.
