Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 subject to experience
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

JOB PURPOSE
Based in the Engagement & Partnerships Department in Leatherhead, Surrey, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, motivated, highly organised events professional to lead on the implementation of a special events portfolio that is central to growing the profile of the charity and with a focus on increasing income.
As the Senior Special Events Executive, you will be a part of a fast-paced events team. Reporting to the Events, Community and Partnerships Manager, you will project manage the special events from conception to completion, planning and delivering a truly wide variety of high-profile events.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We're looking for someone who can comfortably take lead on QEF’s special events programme.
Role responsibilities include (but not limited to):
· Project management of the special event portfolio from conception to on-site delivery and post event analysis.
· Lead on the organisation of the annual Gala Dinner and other special events.
· Create a budget and expenditure for each event and factor in unique and innovative fundraising asks to each special events.
· Lead on the creative concept design, copy and printing – working with our in-house marketing team and external suppliers.
· Work with our marketing team to maximise PR potential for all events.
· Source ‘money can’t buy’ auction items.
· Secure clients speakers and special guest speakers when needed for events.
· Research and develop proposals for new special event opportunities for the charity to consider.
About you
· 3+ years proven experience leading on a variety of high-quality event formats
· Track record for applying creative expertise to event delivery
· Proactive team player and contributor of ideas; confidence to present ideas and projects to senior management and trustees
· Committed, flexible and collaborative
· Thrives from a fast paced, ever-changing environment
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Highly organised with a natural ability to multi-task, prioritise workload and deliver to deadlines
