ABOUT THE TEAM
The Automated Rental Management System (ARMS) provides replacement rental management services and software solutions to insurance companies, dealerships, fleets, and collision repair centres. Our mission is simple: to bring all stakeholders in the collision repair industry together in a way that benefits everyone. Our web-based software solutions are designed to enhance performance management with complete transparency, concise measurements, and seamless data integration. We believe in the power of key performance indicators to drive improvement.
ABOUT THE LOCATION
Our primary office location is in Egham. Occasionally, some meetings will be held on-site and require travel to the office at the employee’s expense. This is likely to be less than 10 times a year. At all other times, the employee can work remotely or in the office as they choose.
Responsibilities
- Individual contributor performing application design and coding across our solutions
- Consistently analyze, translate, re-factor, and code software applications according to specifications provided by our product managers and business analysts
- Develop new and maintain existing software solutions
- Assist in analyzing and resolving routine to moderately complex software application problems
- Learn and apply new technologies used by the team in software solutions for which it is responsible
- Develop all aspects of the application suite from the UI to the data store and automated unit tests
- Share your experiences with the team and at the same time develop yourself by learning from the team experiences
- Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability and stability of applications while delivering impactful business value
- Collaborate with other teams to make architectural decisions and improvements
- Participate in support and security remediation activities
- May require occasional on-call duties
Qualifications
- Technology - Java, SQL, Apache TomCat
- Experience in cloud computing (AWS/Microsoft Azure/Google Cloud)
- Experience working in CI/CD and DevOps environments
- Experience working on applications that leverage Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- Experience working with one or more source control systems (preferably Bitbucket/Git)
- Experience in the full software development lifecycle and end-to-end testing
- Experience working in teams utilizing Agile methodologies eg. Scrum/Kanban
- Technology – Weblogic, Putty, Splunk, Artifactory, Postman, SoapUI, DynaTrace
- Experience with frameworks such as Hibernate and Struts
- Experience with Jenkins or other continuous integration tools
- Experience using Jira and Confluence (or similar tools)
