JOB DESCRIPTION Senior Software Engineer (Java) Bristol (2-3 days per week) Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 (salaries reviewed every 6 months) Benefits include personal learning & development budget, private healthcare and much more! The role: As the Senior Software Engineer, you'll be taking a lead role in projects, supporting & mentoring 2-3 junior engineers and working across all part of the software development lifecycle. I'm looking for an experienced engineer who will be promoting a culture of best engineering practices and offering guidance to less experienced colleagues. Some of the technologies you can expect to encounter include: Java Kotlin Android Python C++ Messaging middleware (DDS, MQTT, etc) Azure/AWS/GCP Experience we're looking for: Strong experience with Java along with other object-oriented programming languages High sense of empathy Experience of mentoring or leading small teams as you'll be mentoring 2-3 junior engineers Knowledge of industry wide tech trends and best practices, coding standards etc Experience of working in an Agile environment Some stand out things about them worth knowing: Newly refurbished office kitted out with a Dual Lab in the style of a 'rustic' warehouse, very cool.
