In our R&D and Product teams, we work in small autonomous teams (Squads of up to 7 people) which fit into strategically aligned Streams. To deliver on our latest strategic priorities, we are building several new cross-functional Squads and we are looking for a Software Engineer to join us in this adventure. On a day-to-day basis, you will be joining one of these streams, where you will be asked to deliver enhancements and new features to achieve your stream’s business goals.

What you will be doing...
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work within an Agile development environment across our full technology stack to:
- Deliver high-quality new features and improve the existing ones to our clients via our online platforms
- Be responsible for the full software development life cycle
- Collaborate with teams across the UK and France (with some travel required) and share ideas and experiences to the wider team in order to achieve team (and therefore business) goals.
- Support implementation of secure design principles according to policies and standards of Information Security
As a senior member of the development team, this role requires someone to be passionate about their work, researching the latest tools and techniques, analysing if they would be of benefit to the company and streamlining the process and taking control of implementing this.
Who you are...
We are looking for an amazing Senior Software Engineer with minimum 4 to 5 years' experience working collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver software development projects.
You'll have most of the following key skills or experience:
- Understanding of Software Engineering Principles: SOLID principles, design patterns, TDD, BDD and DDD, Enterprise Architecture Patterns
- Expertise in API Engineering: security, deployment infrastructure, monitoring, API Gateway, micro-services
- .Net Technologies: .net core 3.x, ASP.net core, Testing Framework, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API
- Database technologies: PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL server
- DevOps: CI/CD, Ansible, Octopus deploy, Dockers. Git
- Frontend Technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript languages (such as Angular/Vue/React)
- Experience in operating in an Agile environment (Jira, SCRUM, Kanban)
The following skills and technologies would be a plus:
- Experience with event-driven architecture: RabbitMQ, Kafka, Azure Queues and Service Bus
- Data manipulation tools: PL/SQL, Transact-SQL
- Experience with application deployment, scaling, and management: Dockers, Kubernetes
- Experience pair programming with developers with a range of ability and knowledge
- Experience of product tracking tools, e.g. Jira
- Source control and deployment tools, such as SonarQube,
- Other languages such as Python, Powershell, *nix scripting
- Enterprise (high-volume) technologies and techniques, e.g. Elasticsearch, Big Data tools
- Experience with O2C applications and payment gateways
In your new role- within 90 days, you will:
