Job description
Join our Family Support team and embark on an exceptionally rewarding career working with children up to age 11. Work with a dynamic, supportive team in our easily accessible office located in the heart of Eastbourne, directly next to the station. Our team prioritises building relationships with families to reduce risks and support change over time. This includes direct work, assessments and complex care planning with children subject to child in need, child protection plans and legal proceedings. We achieve this by using skills honed by our renowned connected practice model, which underpins the work across our service.
At East Sussex County Council we ensure that we provide extensive support to our social workers and deliver high quality relationship-based practice to our children and families.
Work with an organisation who possess clear vision, strong leadership and help to create an environment of stability and security for families. We prioritise and focus on the quality of social work practice rather than processes and procedures.
We warmly welcome applications from all sections of the community but particularly encourage those from Black and ethnic minority backgrounds, those who are disabled, male and those who identify as trans. We are working towards recruiting a workforce that reflects our community because we recognise the unique skills and experience that everyone brings to our roles.
