About the Job
The Senior Analyst ERM is part of the Risk function of MS Amlin Underwriting Limited (MS AUL), the managing agency for MS Amlin’s Lloyd’s syndicate. The role holder supports the ERM Team in the risk management work it leads including operational risk, risk reporting, the ORSA and the Risk Management Framework and also works with other members of the Risk function to support a range of other risk management activities
Responsibilities
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders in Operations, Finance, ABS and other areas of the business to understand their priorities and operational risk issues in their areas
- Providing independent review and challenge of operations strategy, processes, governance, and controls
- Helping to maintain the Risk Management Framework to ensure it provides AUL with an appropriate structure to identify, assess and report on its risks
- Providing input to the design and performance of the GRC systems provided by ABS and supporting the implantation and embedding of the tool to promote its effective use in supporting the Risk Management Framework
- Providing input into the ORSA to promote its use as a value add report that supports and informs risk based decision making
- Supporting deep dives and risk opinions across a range of risk areas across the business
- Taking part in various risk management activities, including risk identification, monitoring and reporting and supporting the business in putting in place an effective control environment
- Attending operational and project meetings to provide risk management advice and challenge to business stakeholders
- Presenting results of analyses and reports to Senior Management
- Championing a culture of risk awareness
- Serving as an example for other members of the Risk function

What you’ll need:
- Strong analytical skills
- Several years of experience of risk management frameworks and processes
- Ability to clearly and concisely communicate in writing and verbally
- Ability to meaningfully participate in meetings with stakeholders

Have experience in any of:
- GRC System implementation
- Operational Risk Scenario Analysis
- ORSA processes
- Quantitative analysis
