Job Summary

The Edinburgh facility provides services including toxicology, bioanalysis, metabolism, veterinary health, environmental sciences and biotechnology. At our world class facility in Elphinstone, Tranent (close to Edinburgh), and as a result of rapid and ongoing expansion, particularly in toxicology, the Department of Toxicology Sciences is seeking to recruit two additional Senior Research Scientists to join the Developmental and Reproductive (DART) team.

Department Information
This team is currently working with multiple industry disciplines, using standard species for classic DART and unique juvenile study designs, focusing on customer care and on innovation.

The Candidate
You will be an experienced and established Senior Research Scientist with a background in DART looking to work with and help develop this dynamic and growing team. Consideration may also be given to less experienced candidates wishing to move to DART or to less experienced candidates who have had involvement in toxicology study management, and who feel they are ready to take on the role of Study Director in DART for the first time.

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to progress their career and make their mark in a thriving and rapidly growing department. Candidates with the right level of experience may be considered for a more senior role in the department with additional responsibilities for organising schedules, mentoring and training staff, and process change.

Applicants should have:
  • As a minimum you will have a biology based degree, although a post graduate qualification in toxicology would be useful.
  • We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate their commitment and dedication to the company, and have an excellent understanding of customer focus
  • You will have effective communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

Salary for this role will be dependent on skills and experience.

Profile and Requirements

IMPORTANT: A resume is required to be considered for this position. If you have not uploaded your resume in your candidate profile, please return to upload field and attach your resume/CV.
