The role
The School of Humanities is seeking to recruit a Senior Research Administrator for the newly funded Centre for the Study of Hong Kong History. Led by Prof Robert Bickers, Professor Ray Yep and Dr Vivian Kong. The Centre will develop into a flagship research centre within the University and within the field of Hong Kong/China studies in the UK and internationally.
What will you be doing?
The role of the Senior Research Administrator is to provide administration and research support for the activities of the Centre’s research community. This includes the associated research group and senior academic and/or professional services staff, undertaking budget monitoring, organise and supporting a range of internal and external events, designing and preparing a range of documents and publicity material, as well as other tasks required in the provision of a successful research centre.

- Working in or with research teams
- Stakeholder or public engagement work, especially related to research impact
- Delivering a communications strategy
- Fluency in Cantonese and advanced reading knowledge of Chinese may be an advantage
In addition, some limited international travel may be required.

Salary: £27,929 – £31,411 per annum
