We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Test Lead to join our dynamic team within the Vault Banking Products Lab. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Core Banking System, specifically Thought Machine Vault. As a seasoned Senior Test Lead, you will define and execute robust test strategies, effectively manage teams, and contribute to the seamless integration of test automation and DevOps practices.

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week currently, or 40% of our time, at our Manchester Office
About this opportunity…
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Core Banking System, specifically Thought Machine Vault. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will define and execute robust test strategies and contribute to the seamless integration of test automation and DevOps practices.
This is a rare opportunity to join the team as a Senior Quality Engineer as we work to deliver the first of many new Banking products onto Vault.
You can expect to be doing…
  • Define and implement comprehensive test strategies, considering the unique requirements of the Thought Machine Vault Core Banking System
  • Drive the adoption of test automation and best practices to enhance efficiency and scalability
  • Plan and monitor end-to-end testing activities, including system integration testing, user acceptance testing, performance testing and defect management
  • Define and implement a robust defect management strategy
  • Create a best in class culture staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, continually enhancing your expertise

Specifically, we’re looking for people who have…
  • Demonstrable expertise in defining and producing high-quality test strategies, leveraging best practices and industry standards
  • Proven track record of effectively building and managing high-performing test teams, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration
  • Strong understanding of test automation frameworks, tools, and practices, with hands-on experience in implementing automated testing solutions using Java
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex systems and identify effective testing approaches
  • Experience working in projects that involve micro services/database/event-driven systems, preferably in the banking domain
It would be great if you had…
  • Experience in GCP/cloud transformation projects
  • Knowledge of emerging test tools in the industry & experience in evaluating test tools
  • Experience in Python, Selenium, BDD(Cucumber), CI/CD, Github
