About the team
A great opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer (QE) to work as part of the Content, Analytics and API lab. The role will involve working together with the QE Lead and the rest of the team to continuously improve our quality assurance and adhering to standards expected within the bank, improving processes, and automating testing where feasible.

About the role
This role will be working in an Agile Environment and will collaborate closely with fellow Software Engineers, Business Analysts, Architects and Product Owners to create and run extensive and well written tests for the solutions implemented. Your main objective will be to ensure we have a consistent and best quality approach across all phases of the Route To Live and work to see that the standards we implement are being adhered to.
Key responsibilities:
- Creating of Automated functional Test scripts, Test Plans and other key test results and implementing and maintaining large test suites;
- Writing test scenarios for Unit level, Functional and Integration testing;
- Driving quality throughout the change lifecycle working in a cross-disciplinary team;
- Looking to automate testing where appropriate, updating and streamlining the test automation framework & coding standards deployed within the team;
- Participating in Communities of Practice, Guilds and improvement working groups and shares learning to members of their team.
About you
We're looking for someone who demonstrates the following skills and experience:
Technical:
- Experience in BDD using Cucumber
- Strong java or NodeJS coding experience
- Experience in building and designing automation frameworks using Webdriver
- Strong manual testing experience on different OS , Browser and devices that are used in testing to create automation test cases based on manual test cases
- Understanding of Continuous Integration using Jenkins
Behavioural:
- Good communication skills with a track record of collaborating with non-technical business stakeholders to agree requirements, timescales and acceptance criteria;
- Strong ability to learn and pick-up new technologies with a curious and continuous improvement mindset.
