Are you a Senior Project Surveyor looking to work on building projects that can change the world, projects that are always more complex and innovative than the last?
If so we are looking for an experienced Senior Project Surveyor to join our team in Cardiff to work. You will be joining a team of like-minded experts that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions.

About Our Team:
Aecom Cardiff is part of one of the largest multi-disciplinary practices in the UK. Amongst a wider multidisciplinary team of over 100, we have over 20 professionals from Trainees to Directors in the Cost and Project Management team and work throughout Wales and the South West.

Job Responsibilities:
As a Senior Project Surveyor you will work as part of the team to help deliver all aspects of quantity surveying from inception of a project through to completion. You will work on a number of projects, varying in complexity, ranging in value from £5m – £100m.
Approach to all projects requires a high degree of flexibility and creativity, excellent presentational skills and an ability to communicate effectively with clients and consultants. The successful candidate shall be charged with the delivery of Cost Management Services within our Client focused and highly motivated professional team. They should:
+ Lead Cost Management commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery.
+ Have the ability to lead and manage teams.
+ Provide effective support and mentoring to Graduates and Apprentices.
+ Develops strong reciprocal relationships with clients and members of the project team.
+ Manage the delivery of cost management team outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards.
+ Provide full Cost Management duties to AECOM clients.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
+ Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management.
+ Professionally Qualified – ideally Chartered Quantity Surveying Status with the RICS, CIOB or other equivalent institution.
+ Proven experience in a consulting environment providing the full spectrum of CM services including Pre Contract Estimating; Procurement; Contract Administration, Cost Reporting and Final Account resolution.
+ Understanding of JCT and NEC standard forms of contract.
+ Understanding of a variety of project types/sizes/sectors.
+ Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on cost, value and risk, not just cost in isolation.
+ Excellent IT Skills and the ability to utilise digital measurement, cost planning and tender document tools shall be essential.
+ Ability to manage relationships effectively, identifying and resolving issues at the earliest possible opportunity.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Professionally Qualified – ideally Chartered Quantity Surveying Status with the RICS, CIOB or other equivalent institution.
+ CSCS Card
Ideal ancillary requirement:
+ Active member of local networking groups.
+ Experience of preparing bid submissions.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects for a variety of public and private sector clients.
+ Experience of managing in-house project finances.
