Torbay Pharmaceuticals are looking for an experiencedSenior Project Manager to work on capital and continuous improvement projects across the business. This is an exciting role within the newly formed Transformation team who are responsible for the delivery and governance of the major change programmes. We have ambitious growth plans and this is a great opportunity to be part of a business during a period of significant growth and change.
To excel in this role you need to be an experienced project manager having worked across a variety of projects including large scale projects. You will need to be experienced working in a GMP environment with significant GMP knowledge .
You should have significant experience gained within a sterile product or controlled areas manufacturing environment, or equally technically and professional demanding manufacturing environment.
You should have specialist knowledge in equipment and process validation along with effectively managing and negotiating with external contractors and equipment suppliers.
You will need experience of managing automated process and continuous improvement projects, and should be experienced in continuous improvement and lean methodologies along with process mapping and workshop facilitation.
To provide project management, governance and leadership to major capital investment projects and continuous improvement initiatives that relate directly to Manufacturing and Packaging activities and supporting infrastructures.
To be responsible for the delivery of projects and initiatives within agreed timescales, to budget and in a safe and fully compliant manner.

Managing major capital investment projects and continuous improvement activities on site.
To be a member of the Programme team that will create and drive a culture, in order to meet and exceed the business objectives of being a Class-leading Pharmaceutical business within the NHS, setting high standards of
Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), Pharmaceutical Quality System (PQS), and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), incorporating lean manufacturing and six sigma methodology where appropriate.
To provide the strategic planning for the projects department, to ensure that all new capital investment projects meet the needs of the business. This covers all GMP requirements both for MHRA and FDA standards.
Accountable for managing the budgets of all major projects being managed.
To exercise judgement in the identification and analysis of complex project situations, including key equipment transfer and new equipment installation. Coordinate and direct projects, analyse technology, resource needs, respond to market demand, to plan and deliver projects, on time and within budget.
To operate within Trust policy and procedure and to make recommendations, where the needs of the pharmaceutical business unit requires modified policies and procedures. Monitor changes in regulations and technology that may affect Operations, implement policy and procedural changes following approval.
Ensure that systems and working practices are in place that meets all legal, legislative and EHS aspects of contractor control whilst contractors are working on site.
Although this role is not directly clinical, it has a significant non-direct impact on the wellbeing of patients/clients. As part of the service development element of the role it requires the post holder to undertake continuous inspection and provide advice on the project/installation to ensure QA and GMP is maintained.
