Sysco International are recruiting for an experienced Senior Project Manager who will coordinate simultaneously running projects to bring structure and organisation whilst ensuring projects are completed professionally, on time and to plan. The role is responsible for planning, managing, and driving large scale transformation initiatives and projects, as defined and prioritised by the Sysco International Merchandising Leadership Team.
Reporting to the Head of Projects and Insights, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for developing coordinated project plans that will deliver the execution of International Merchandising and Commercial initiatives including better buying, better selling, and solving category assortment gap opportunities amongst other workflows.
Expect to be partnering with key International functional leaders in the areas such as Procurement, Category Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Product Range, Commercial Sales teams, Strategy and eCommerce.
We are offering a home-based contract on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be able to speak and communicate in fluent French.
Accountabilities
- This role will lead in planning, organising, and executing large scale business improvement projects.
- Coordinate and execute / project manage multiple concurrently running complex projects across multiple stakeholders / departments / markets to drive margin benefit to Sysco.
- This role will partner with the International team and in-country resource to turn priorities and goals into strategies, structured plans, and roadmaps with actionable initiatives.
- Scope and develop high level project plans.
- Identify resources, assign work, and launch projects.
- Lead projects through from initial opportunity analysis to implementation and realization of benefits.
- Manage the production and distribution of weekly performance reporting.
- Collect and present issues and risks to sr. leadership for awareness, decisions, and action.
- Direct the performance of project team members.
- Collaborate with US based Project Management team on best practices for implementation across International Merchandising teams.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
We are looking for a French speaking Project Manager with experience working in a large scale or global FMCG / food service organisation. You will have demonstratable experience of multi-tasking to coordinate and lead multiple large-scale project workstreams. Using your excellent prioritisation and time management skills, you will have the ability to manage conflicting priorities into clear harmonised project plans that can be communicated and easily understood by International Stakeholders. This role requires someone who possesses a strong analytical and strategic mindset to drive projects forward within agreed timescales and can positively influence key stakeholders and colleagues.
It's essential that the successful candidate has experience using Microsoft Office including PowerPoint and Excel. Any experience using project management 3rd part tools, IT or software to facilitate effective project management and organisation is also required.
The Senior Project Manager role is a critical-enabler position within Sysco’s “Partnership Growth Management” (PGM) project across our international markets. PGM is a key initiative designed to improve Sysco’s margin and therefore facilitate growth for Sysco, and is a project running concurrently across multiple International markets requiring detailed organisation and coordination. Within PGM we aim to make 100% data-based / fact-based decisions so this role is key to support that.
