As a Senior Programme Manager within UK Digital & IT Delivery, you will deliver highly complex, cross-functional technology programmes that support wider strategic business transformation and product delivery focussed on generating value for our customers. The Senior Programme Manager will work collaboratively across all Digital & IT functions to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of programme budgets up to £20M, with a significant matrix programme team of up to 30 people, and direct line management of Vodafone Technical Delivery Managers
What You'll Do
- Leading from the front, design, plan and own the end-to-end delivery of a complex technical programme of work with multiple sub-projects &workstreams.
- Identify key business stakeholders, leading on defining the business case, programme objectives, scope, agreed set of expected benefits and outcomes.
- Maintain oversight of the programme through setting clear priorities and responsibilities and coordinate planning across multiple Technical Delivery Managers and engineering teams, giving due consideration to company-wide priorities and dependencies and optimising the programme plans to maximise benefits as required.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, challenging decisions where appropriate to ensure a successful programme outcome up to Director/Board level
- As a subject matter expert, use your deep technical knowledge to support and lead improvements in Digital & IT.
- Act as a thought leader on programme and project management and collaborate across the company to bring new ways of working to improve delivery outcomes
Who You Are
- Experience dealing with a IT Capex budget of up to £20 Million
- Demonstrable experience in building and managing complex stakeholder relationships (Director & Heads of Function)
- Have experience of managing significantly complex Digital & IT Programmes using Agile and Waterfall approach
- Proven track record of managing application development and software engineering programmes – building products from scratch directly with engineering teams
- Leadership – ability to manage, motivate & develop a direct team and in a matrix environment
