Job description
As a Senior Events Executive, you’ll lead on the ongoing development of products, looking at continuous improvement to bring compelling, supporter-focused products and propositions to life for the British Heart Foundation (BHF).
You will either be working across our portfolio of BHF-owned events, including the historic London to Brighton Bike Ride and Bournemouth Pier to Pier Swim or on our portfolio of third party events, including the London Marathon. You will plan and deliver sector-leading stewardship for our supporters, bringing the events to life and encouraging participants to fundraise for the charity. The role will work with internal and external stakeholders, building strong relationships to ensure the events have the resource they need to grow in the future.
Working with colleagues in the Product Delivery team and other expert functions across the organisation, you’ll ensure all activity is successfully planned, delivered, and managed, and that all financial and non-financial targets are met. You’ll plan and implement innovative stewardship plans to give the customer a sector-leading journey from start to finish and optimise ROI.
In this role, you’ll manage products from end-to-end, working collaboratively with teams in marketing, digital experience and event-day delivery, in addition to other relevant teams in the wider Marketing, Fundraising and Engagement (MFE) directorate, to bring to life our events for BHF supporters.
Working arrangements
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.
At the BHF we believe in the power of being together, so our colleagues on blended contracts can expect to spend some time in their office, at least one day each week, on average. The use of our office spaces is driven in part by your role and the activities you need to do. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.
Need more help balancing your work and home life? Talk to us about what flexibility is available at the application or interview stage.
About you
As our ideal candidate, you bring relevant experience working on income generation products from start to finish, specifically within the context of product marketing, fundraising campaigns and/or fundraising events.
Enthusiastic, proactive, and commercially aware, you have experience of delivering a multi-channel customer journey, managing, and delivering projects, and presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
With solid knowledge and understanding of the principles of marketing and/or fundraising (including insight, customer journeys and marketing communications), you bring knowledge of content management systems and customer databases and knowledge of new and emerging technologies and trends in the marketing and fundraising space.
With excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills, you bring experience of budget management, and an understanding of line management principles and applicable skills.
