About the Opportunity
Jacobs Nuclear is the Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield under the Programme and Project Partners (PPP). This is a 20-year arrangement to deliver ~£7bn of major projects. We are looking to recruit high value expertise from across regulated and comparable sectors to work in a collaborative environment. PPP is delivering major projects, site wide improvements and provision of supporting services.
Being part of the PPP Team offers a unique opportunity to drive change and innovation in engineering, safety and delivery solutions in one of the most complex industrial sites in the UK if not the world. As a result of increasing demand for our services, there are significant opportunities for you to support a key project within the nuclear business.
We are currently recruiting a Senior Piping Designer to support the team in Birchwood, Warrington.
As a Senior Piping Designer, with a proven track record in mechanical handling, you will be responsible for the following:
- Execute design and Draughting activities (Concept, FEED, Technical Study and Detailed Design).
- Produce and check isometrics, piping layouts, pipe supports, general arrangements, detailed drawings, special item datasheets, bulk take-offs and associated line / valve schedules.
- Liaise with stress engineer for design pipe supports.
- Must be proficient with PDMS, Autodesk Plant 3D and Navisworks Manage.
- Degree Qualified
- 5 years engineering experience working within a regulated industry.
- To be fully conversant with UK Statutory Regulations and industry design guides and standards relating to this discipline.
- Must be proficient with PDMS, Autodesk Plant 3D and Navisworks Manage.
