Job Title: Senior Operations Manager
Sector: Tingdene Marinas and Boat Sales Limited (TM&BSL)
Reporting to: Director of Marinas and Director of Boat Sales
Location: Anywhere (with regular travel across Midlands, Home Counties and Norfolk)
Salary Range (£): 40,000 – 50,000 (DOE) plus annual bonus.
Tingdene position overview
The position will report to the Directors and work with the Senior Leadership Team with the primary responsibilities of providing day to day operational, commercial and financial support to the Marina and Boat Sales business.
This role combines onsite work with some remote flexibility.
The role will have the primary responsibility to:
· Achieve financial targets including maximising profits as well as a requirement to
understand, set and re-forecast to ensure budget targets are achieved.
· Work closely with other Senior Leadership Team positions to ensure alignment.
· Support, assist and manage Marina Managers effectively providing day to day
support and holding appropriate meetings regarding financial, operational and
administrative functions.
· Propose, assist and undertake acquisitions and growth strategies.
· Propose annual and future capex requirements aligned with financial targets.
· Understand and set planned R&M expenditure alongside Marina managers with ultimate
Director sign-off.
· Ensure central core Tingdene Group functions are engaged with across each marina (HR,
H&S, Finance, Planning, Tech, Marketing).
· Ensure legal compliance and accuracy in reporting and undertaking assessments.
· Work with the Business Support Manager to develop and set role specific employment
guidelines, personal goals and training pathways for the organisation both internally and
externally through the recruitment process.
· Attend (as and when required) promotional events and boat shows.
· Provide regular updates to the team and Directors regarding industry changes,
challenges and trend analysis.
· Build and manage relationships with concessions and propose new arrangements
contracts.
· Ensure the Tingdene One Group culture is enhanced and visible on mixed
operations including engagement with Tingdene Holiday Parks team members
where required.
· Hold Monthly meetings with the Senior Leadership Team within Marina and Boat
Sales business led by the Directors.
· Attend Tingdene Group Senior Management team meetings and training as and
when required.
· The role will also be required to liaise with other stakeholders across the business
from time to time.
· As required, the role will assist with other business units within the Tingdene
Group.
Other responsibilities and tasks
· Work as a team and regularly communicate across the Tingdene Group business.
· Regular travel will be required to attend sites across the Tingdene Group business.
