Joining our Operational Delivery profession as a Senior Operations Analyst, you’ll work in a multi-disciplinary team operating in a Professions and Flexible Resourcing model. Alongside effective and accurate review of data and information from participants to support decision making, your key responsibility will be managing your own complex case load whilst also providing guidance and support to your colleagues.
You’ll be organised and meticulous in your problem solving, comfortable managing a varied workload and committed to continually driving improvement. With excellent, well-rounded communication skills, your research and analysis experience will combine with a desirable knowledge of renewable electricity technologies. This will drive effectiveness co-ordinating a team and building relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Job description
Delivery and Schemes is the division in Ofgem that administers the government’s renewable energy incentive schemes. The Operations team administer the day to day running of the schemes including the Renewables Obligation (RO); Non-Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (NDRHI); Green Gas Support (GGSS); Feed-In-Tariffs (FITs); and the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG).
As a Senior Operations Analyst, you will play a key role in contributing towards delivering Delivery and Schemes’ statutory obligations in respect of these schemes. This role will focus initially on data validation activities in respect of our operational administration of the Renewables Obligation scheme.
- Ensure timely, effective, and accurate review of data and information from participants to support decision making.
- Support the management of individual and team performance to meet key performance indicators.
- Represent Ofgem at meetings with industry, government and consumers as needed.
- Review processes and procedures to improve performance.
- Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist development and testing of IT systems and review processes and procedures to improve performance and efficiencies.
Key Outputs and Deliverables
- Ensure that data and validations activities are accurately undertaken and assessed, ensuring participants are meeting their ongoing obligations so that ROCs can be issued correctly.
- Ensure the right controls are in place to mitigate risks within your area.
- Manage team performance and meet operational key performance indicators.
- Support team to deliver targets and delivery of the Renewables Obligation scheme.
- Analyse management information as required.
- Engage with consultants and participants as required.

- Strong research, numerical and analytical skills (LEAD).
