Role: Senior Occupational Therapist
Salary: Up to £42,724 pro rata (Actual £17,090), depending on experience
Hours: 16 hours per week
Location: Cambian Dilston College, Dilston Hall, Corbridge, Northumberland, NE45 5RJ

Job role
Your role will be to provide specialised SEN Occupational Therapy for a defined caseload of children with OT specified in their EHCP (16-25 years) and to take the lead in developing the quality of EHCP’s & SEN OT provision within the setting.
Working autonomously, you will provide quality assessments, reports and needs led interventions for young people and work with the college staff to embed sensory strategies across our schools and colleges.
Taking a “hands on” approach it is essential that you will be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills. You must have excellent organisational and time management skills.

Requirements
A degree or a post graduate diploma in Occupational Therapy
Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and RCOT
Experience in working with ASD and/or learning disabilities (preferred)
A specialist with proven skills and experience to engage and deliver therapeutic interventions with children and young people with complex needs (preferred)
A highly organised professional ready to take the initiative.
