Job description
About us
UCL is a radically different university. Founded in 1826 in the heart of London, we were the first university in England to welcome students of any religion and the first to welcome women to university education. Today UCL has over 50,000 students and 13,000 staff and is one of the world’s top 10 universities.
The Vice-President External Engagement team (VPEE) coordinates UCL’s engagement with a range of external and internal audiences, raising the university’s profile and influence, and managing its reputation. They promote the public value of UCL’s research and education, both within the UK, and globally. It is a service-driven team of communications and marketing professionals who deliver sector-leading media relations, public affairs, institutional communications, brand and integrated marketing, student recruitment, and events.

We are recruiting for a Senior Marketing Communications Officer (Social) to join our team at the VPEE. The successful candidate will be instrumental in planning social media communications for the main UCL social media channels for all our audiences (prospective students, current students, staff and external stakeholders), and delivering those plans through campaigns and communications that embody the UCL brand and build positive perceptions.
This is an exciting opportunity for somebody who would like to contribute to the strategic and tactical use of social media to manage our key messaging and enhance our reputation.
