Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: As the technical lead in our External Supplier POD structure, you will collaborate closely with Supply Chain partners and Supplier Quality to ensure seamless operations, high supplier reliability, and swift resolution of technical issues affecting product quality and delivery.
- Driving Supplier Reliability: Your expertise will be crucial in identifying, remediating, and resolving process and technical issues to enhance supplier reliability, ensuring the consistent production of our products.
- Champion Process Development and Improvement: By leading the charge in process development and continuous improvement initiatives at our suppliers, you will help elevate manufacturing standards within our External Supply chain.
- Qualifications with Precision: We entrust you to deliver qualifications for J&J-owned equipment and tooling, ensuring all aspects of manufacturing adhere to the highest quality standards.
- Quality System: Your meticulous attention to detail will shine as you complete Quality System requirements, including MPIs, Change Orders, PFMEA, engineering studies, and verification/validation protocols and reports, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Resolving Quality Events: Your quick thinking and problem-solving abilities will be put to the test as you actively participate in the resolution of quality events, ensuring that our products consistently meet the highest quality standards and we resolve any issue affecting delivery of our product to the many patients we serve everyday.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in a relevant Engineering / Science subject area
- At least 4 years of manufacturing, quality engineering, or manufacturing or process engineering experience
- Experience in regulated industry, FDA, ISO, etc.
- Experience with process validations/verifications
- Experience working with External Supply chain
- Ability to read and understand technical documents
- Strong project management problem solving skills
- Ability to travel up to 10% domestic and international
Desirable:
- Computer business systems experience – i.e. SAP, Agile/ADAPTIV, ETQ, Windchill, etc.
- FPX or PM certification
- Experience with CNC Machining or Laser marking.
- Experience with Sterilization, and/or Packaging.
- Certification in Six Sigma/Lean
