Senior Manager Young People’s Services

We have a unique opportunity for you to join the Early Help and Prevention (EHP) senior management team. As the Young People’s Service senior manager, you would have responsibility for two services areas:
Our targeted youth work offer across the borough, which includes group delivery and one to one work and the Education/Employment and Training support, including the statutory tracking and monitoring of NEET.
The EHP service is forward thinking and aspirational. We are seeking an applicant with the mindset to help drive our services forward. You will play a fundamental part in embedding cultural change and seeking ongoing improvements for service effectiveness, ensuring that our young people are at the heart of the work that we do and are supported to achieve positive social mobility.

In return we are looking for;
A dynamic, energetic, and ambitious leader. You can work with risk, and you understand the landscape of Local Government and the challenges that we currently face. You are politically astute. You can manage large budgets, prioritise, and maintain a grip on service delivery. You will be comfortable driving change and running transformation programmes. Developing strategy will come naturally to you, as will turning policy into action, and action into outcomes. You will be proactive in seeking opportunities for service development, including funding opportunities. You will have substantial management experience and be adept at working in partnership with others.
This is a flexible, hybrid post which means working in Council offices and in locations across the borough as well as the opportunity to work from home.
