Role overview:
The primary function of the Regional Maintenance Leader is to lead all the Maintenance activities for all EU & Africa JIT and Structures Plants, including the development and deployment of a robust EU Maintenance strategy. The EU strategy must target zero Customer impact due to Equipment failures. The Maintenance Strategy must consider the EU I4.0 strategy and the technologies involved, bridging the skillset required by the Plant Maintenance Teams with HR to ensure capabilities are built in the career paths and the training programs of the organization.
This job can be based in different locations – UK, Spain, Hungary,
Main Responsibilities:
- The role will work closely with Operations (Plant Teams) in development of Lear Maintenance Standards from Best Practices within Lear and leading practices and technologies from within industry.
- Be an active researcher of new maintenance approaches, tools and technologies, with a particular focus on data driven preventative routines and digital solutions, to expand Lear’s standards.
- Develop and manage the EU Maintenance Strategy and deployment roadmap
- Manage the execution of the Maintenance Strategy deployment road map.
- Initiate a Global forum for Maintenance and Equipment Robustness.
- Develop Standards & Research of new technology ensuring compatibility with the systems used by Lear.
- Improvement in MTBF KPI for JIT and Structures EU & Africa Plants
- Identify A players from the plants and external hiring for development potential into senior positions
Key skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with JIT Automotive supply is preferred
- Ability to lead a team
- Good communication & interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Proactive approach to solving problems
- Time management skills
- 50% of the time travel required
