The Business Relationship Manager (BRM) plays a key role in partnering with the lines of business to ensure that technology strategy and services align with the business strategy and services.

You will be joining an established and growing team that has made great strides in bridging the gap between the business and the Technology & Digital Services (T&DS) team. You will build and maintain relationships at all levels with a particular focus on senior partners and taking responsibility for owning the strategic relationship with your assigned line of business

Your Responsibilities

  • Business Relationship Manager for assigned line of business.
  • Establish and manage key stakeholder relationships and manage expectations.
  • Establish technology strategy to complement assigned line of business strategy.
  • Develop demand roadmaps for assigned line of business.
  • Manage and prioritise technology demand.
  • Ensure escalations from the business are effectively managed.
  • Promote line of business knowledge and understanding within T&DS (and vice versa).
  • Contribute to BRM team ongoing development/strategic direction.
  • Work with the Enterprise Architects to ensure IT roadmaps aligns to business needs.
  • Assist in gathering and shaping business cases and business requirements and working with the lines of business and analysts to clarify and refine these demands.
  • Work with Project Managers, Business Change Managers and Communications.
  • Shape change management activities.
  • Work with Service Management to shape our service offering.

You will:

  • Have experience of stakeholder relationship building and management at different levels of an organization.
  • Have experience of developing and driving adoption of strategy and/or roadmaps.
  • Have a deep understanding of the IT industry – technical enough to have credibility but able to express services in a non-technical way.
  • Have experience of working with(in) an IT department.
  • Possess the ability to gain credibility and trust with stakeholders and IT teams alike.
  • Be comfortable multitasking with the ability to work on and prioritise several tasks at once.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively and professionally at all levels of the business, with both technical and non-technical people.
  • Technology and transformation delivery experience is desirable
  • Be degree level or qualified by experience ITIL. IT qualifications are desirable but not essential.
