Senior Manager - Digitalization PMO
This new role reports into the Head of Innovation, Semiconductor Service Division within the Vacuum Technique Business Area (VTBA) of the Atlas Copco Group, and will provide leadership, management and expertise in order to deliver effective digital programme/project execution when developing new tactical and strategic digital solutions at both business and enterprise levels.
This fantastic opportunity involves coordination of both regional and global teams ensuring focus on the alignment and support of global/Service Technology Centre (STC) digital goals, objectives and strategy. The role will also include working across divisions within the Vacuum Technique Business Area (VTBA) to gain alignment and standard on solutions / applications.
Location of the role can be flexible in the UK although as we move to a flexible hybrid working model, tavel to our VTBA Global Head Office in Burgess Hill, West Sussex, will be required.
This is a great opportunity to work globally within the Semiconductor Service Division (VSS) and play a key role in the VSS Leadership Team to ensure our innovation objectives are achieved to improve our efficiency and capabilities with our Service Technology Centres, and will require some international travel.
Main Responsibilities
Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of robust program and project management framework/standard aligned to AC/Agile principles and change management methodology based on Kotter 8 steps- Ensure alignment of projects/programmes to the project management framework/standard and ensure change management activities are appropriate to level of change, through providing appropriate support to project/programme leads (training, coaching, reinforcement, and constrictive feedback)
- Manage global digital project portfolio process inclusive of pipeline, project approval/status, timelines, and resource management
- Lead high profile/risk projects/programmes ensuring deliverable are OTIF, within budget and risks mitigated through effective management of project/programme teams/workstreams, stakeholder expectations and communications
- Lead post-project reviews, verification of achievement of expected project benefits, and global sharing of lessons learned
- Manage digital risk profile through risk register that calculates risks and mitigates to acceptable levels through implementation of appropriate mitigation plans and captures major risks on global risk register and communicated within project council
- Lead the development, implementation, of digital governance framework (MCRL) within STC through providing appropriate support to key users (training, coaching, reinforcement, and constrictive feedback)
- Manage, mentor, teach, and coach the wider organisation in digital transformation and where the risks / challenges are which hold us back from achieving the strategy. Provide mitigations to these risks
- Engage and collaborate for strategic alignment with stakholders across the business of all levels including managing change processes within our Service Technology Centre and ensure a full Industry 4.0 solution is developed right first time.
- Drive and deliver the digital technology strategy roadmap, ensuring the rollout of the digital technology achieves the targets dates and payback (ROI).
- Drive the digital cultural change across the global Service Technology Centre footprint with the use of the Shingo model
Skills / Knowledge / Experience
Experience of leading international major and complex digital project/programmes, delivering to tight deadlines and on multiple concurrent projects.- Understanding of running digital projects using Agile / scrum methodology
- Self-starting, independent, able to work on own initiative whilst working collaboratively with a consensus-building approach and strong conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to analyse information, identify key issues, and report clearly and accurately in verbal or written format
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including across geographical borders, with stakeholders inside and outside the business, and at senior management level
- Up to date on the latest digital and Industry 4.0 technology
