About the Role
This is a new position preparing the University for the launch of a BA (Hon) Graphic Design which is scheduled to run from September 2025. You will be responsible for designing the curriculum and leading the proposal through validation. In time, you will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of our undergraduate and possible postgraduate courses, contributing to the delivery of our modules on our core curriculum depending on your areas of expertise and experience.
You will be joining an exciting department, with impressive resources, that covers a wide range of Arts subjects with highly creative and talented colleagues in an intellectually stimulating environment.
You will be a creative professional responsible for designing the curriculum and leading the proposal through validation.

About You
We are seeking an experienced colleague to take the lead on the development of a brand-new Graphic Design degree in our Department. You will be a skilled and effective lecturer with extensive curriculum development knowledge and expertise. You will have a portfolio that reflects experience of professional practice/consultancy or applied research and have a commitment to ensuring that sustainability is at the heart of our new programme. This is a wonderful opportunity to really shape the future of a degree and contribute to the development of the next generations of Graphic Designers and scholars. We are keen to engage with individuals that have connections with relevant professional networks, great industry links, and a sound understanding of employability in the HE context.
You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. An established or promising research profile in Graphic Design with teaching experience on undergraduate or post-graduate relevant programmes is essential. Experience of successful curriculum development would be highly desirable.
