About our the role:
We're looking for someone who is passionate about developing leadership and management capability and has experience in designing, delivering and embedding 'learning' with Leaders.
You'll be experienced in behavioural leadership, grounded in the latest theories and principles. You'll take a creative approach with engaging and translating Learning - both remotely and face-to-face.
This is a stand-alone role that will partner with a wide range of senior stakeholders to design, deliver and embed a brand new leadership management development programme - including a yet-to-be defined future leader's programme.
In this role, you'll inspire managers through the delivery of highly engaging content, delivered through different methods. You'll have a strategic approach to all solutions, connecting leadership and management development to other priorities across the business. You'll need a commercial mindset, and the ability to focus on output, measuring success, and embedding learning across our management population.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Driving the design and delivery of the overall leadership and management programme by launching and embedding innovative solutions for both remote and office based leaders.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to help deliver the skill and behavioural change priorities of the learning strategy aimed at building business capability
- Working closely with wider People team to ensure policy and procedures are embedded into learning approach
- Liaising with managers and individuals to understand and interpret requirements, in a timely and accurate manner and then plan workload to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Designing solutions which embrace different styles and approaches to build the capability of leaders at every level from individual contributors through to Directors
- Running and testing our controls - for example controls that make sure training is up to date, meets the needs of the audience and we have robust record keeping (attendance/pass rates, version control, etc.)
- Developing Train-The-Trainer programmes to up-skill existing L&D teams to support with the rollout of this continued programme.
- Analysing and interpreting data that supports learning outcomes
Please apply if you:
- Have significant experience designing and delivering leadership and management development curriculum/programmes - from the basics for new managers to more complex leadership development modules for experienced leaders
- Can create content design and delivery that is aligned to the Monzo values and tone of voice
- Possess a high level of knowledge around learning, leadership, and behavioural change principles; both current and future
- Have experience of identifying, demonstrating, and implementing L&D initiatives, which are aligned with business goals
- Are able to work at a strategic level. This is key. You'll need to be relentlessly pragmatic and show that you understand the operational audience we deliver for
- Are highly engaging and can adapt your approach to remote/distributed managers
- Have outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Are happy getting hands-on and take satisfaction in supporting colleagues, projects or tasks however big or small
- Are excited by what we're doing at Monzo
It would be great if you also:
- Thrive in a fast paced environment with ambiguity and lots of change
- Have a background in the Financial Services Industry
- Have learning and development experience in a remote working setting
- Have experience designing and implementing talent programmes in other contact centres
- Hold an accreditation of leadership and management development principles/theory (e.g. coaching MBTI)
The Interview Process:
Our interview process involves 3 main stages:
- Short call with Monzo Recruiter
- 30 minute video-call with Hiring Manager
- 2 x panel interviews with wider team
