Job description
Due to growth and expansion across the department we have an exciting opportunity to join our service operations team as Senior IT Service Manager. You will form part of the IT Service Management team and will play a key role in maturing the department through the planning and implementation of technical, structural or process improvements required to deliver our objectives.
For this role we would be interested in speaking with anyone with proven experience in managing and developing any of the ITIL practices including Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Event, BRM.
What you’ll be doing:
- Owning and continually improving Service Management processes such as Incident, Problem & Change
- Working with the other Senior IT Service Managers to ensure ITIL processes are implemented, followed, and continually reviewed/improved
- Creating and delivering regular reports, providing useful insight into performance and highlight areas of improvement
- Assist with the service planning on key major events such as Cheltenham, Grand National and World Pool
- Attending weekly status update meetings with the IT leadership team to provide status updates
You will also be responsible for managing the on-call rota ensuring 24/7 out of hours support is available to the organisation and stakeholders, there will also be a requirement for you to cover “on call” shifts on a rota basis.
What you’ll need:
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced service operations management environment
- Previous experience of using and supporting a number of Windows based applications
- Previous experience working within an agile environment
- An excellent understanding of the ITIL framework
- Ability to build and maintain positive, professional relationships with all stakeholders
- ITIL V3/V4 qualification
