Description:

WRC Group with big plans for the future, it is now looking for a Senior Interior Designer to take the lead role in the interior side of the studio, integrating and working alongside the architects and cabinet makers to deliver striking projects across the UK.

Our company in North London is seeking a highly creative, self-motivated and enthusiastic senior interior designer to join the team. With a variety of projects across interiors and exteriors of property development and private residential, working to a high level of detail and with an exquisite taste level are essential. You will have experience in, designing interior spaces in new and refurbished buildings; meeting functional and aesthetic goals; researching and purchasing furnishings and fittings; and establishing corporate or an individual client base. You will have managed projects & clients throughout the design & implementation process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate with clients, suppliers and key stakeholders in a highly professional manner
  • Manage client expectations, project schedules and deliverables
  • Creating and presenting design concepts for review with the team.
  • Managing interior meetings with clients.
  • Sourcing finishes, fixtures, fabrics, lighting, hardware, and accessories.
  • Coordinating curtains and blinds.
  • Attending site visits at key stages.
  • Enhances and improves interior spaces’ functionality by modifying architectural elements and arranging furnishings, artwork, and décor.
  • Performs research and maintains a working knowledge of trends and new developments in the interior design and architecture worlds.

Technical / Skills & Experience:

  • Architectural or interior design qualifications to degree or similar level.
  • Have experience in residential and commercial sector.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong experience managing client relationships and presentations
  • Ability to produce detailed schedules and specifications
  • Creative with an excellent eye for detail.
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch up and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Good hand drawing and sketching skills would be useful
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin

Job requirement

  • A high finish of interiors is expected, so an eye for detail, color palettes and materials is needed.
  • UK/international travel may be necessary for this role
