What you’ll do
You'll own & deliver the day-to-day analytics output for a defined area of responsibility within one of the Retail & Trading, CRM & Loyalty, or Digital Product & Experience analytics teams, developing a deep understanding of your business area
Key duties
- Delivering accurate and timely insight and analysis for your business
- Critically evaluating output (demonstrating understanding the “why” behind the numbers)
- Identifying and communicating recommendations to your business area
- Looking beyond the numbers to create robust data-driven business recommendations, which improve the quality of our decision making and feed into our roadmaps and strategy.
- Highlighting site enhancement opportunities, issues and performance improvements.
- Developing, maintaining, sharing and seeking out the best analytical practices within the team and wider analyst community.
- Championing the use of data and analytics in business decision making, recommending new opportunities for data usage, capture & storage
- Shaping the data and analytics requirements within digital roadmaps as appropriate.
What we’re looking for
You'll have advanced analytical skills applied in a relevant role. To be successful you'll need self-motivation and be commercially astute with experience in structuring business problems into data queries. The role requires skill in interrogating and interpreting complex and disparate data, and you'll also need the ability to critically evaluate outputs, and identify recommendations.
About you
- Skilled data storyteller who can effectively structure and communicate results and recommendations to diverse audiences with varying levels of technical ability
- Deep proficiency with Web Analytics Tools (e.g. Adobe or Google)
- Expertise with relevant Visualisation Tools (e.g. Tableau/PowerBI) and techniques
- Deep proficiency querying databases with SQL is essential. Proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g., Python) advantageous.
- Proficient in data cleansing, manipulation, extraction and exploitation.
- Ability to embed in project teams whilst still playing a key role within the analytics team.
- Excellent time-management skills, and comfortable in a fast-paced corporate environment
