The Trust is now nearly two years into the implementation of our EPR system (Cerner Millennium) and we are now at the stage where more creativity and ingenuity opportunities have arisen.

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic analyst to offer fresh ideas and assist with active engagement throughout the Trust. The organisation values data and our Data Strategy very highly, and we are looking for someone to further develop our connections with various data champions and provide insight and knowledge across multiple areas of the Trust.

The post holder will be expected to work autonomously, be innovative, delivering work to a high standard within tight deadlines. The Trust provides a flexible working environment and a hybrid office arrangement is in place with some onsite presence at the Countess of Chester site.

The post holder will be responsible for providing information support to the Trust, ensuring that systems are in place to deliver information that is accurate and complete, within agreed timescales, to meet internal and external requirements.

This role will integrally involve the development and support of reporting across multiple reporting tools (e.g. Power BI and other visualisation tools). They will utilise their wide range of advanced Business Intelligence skills to manage, implement and maintain advanced information and reporting solutions. They will act as support junior team members and also a technical expert to pro-actively resolve issues and support development using high levels of knowledge and experience.

The post holder will be expected to work proactively using their initiative to meet the key deliverables and to be responsible for the delivery of a high quality, professional service to the customer-base. They will ensure the data management processes result in the highest possible data quality and completeness that will support the information needs either through direct access to the data or through other business intelligence and reporting systems.

This role is much more than just numbers and data. It is essential that you're able to capture the hearts and minds of the workforce, whilst at the same time connect, engage and influence multiple stakeholders.

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust consists of a 600 bedded large District General Hospital, which provides its services on the Countess of Chester Health Park, and a 64 bedded Intermediate Care Service at Ellesmere Port Hospital.

The Trust provides services in all of the surgical and medical specialties common to a District General Hospital with some specialist services. The Trust serves the whole of the local population currently in excess of 250,000 residents which geographically covers populations in England and North Wales.

The Trust strives to continuously improve and sustain the quality of its services for patients, providing care to more than 445,000 patients per year, with almost 4,000 staff working together putting quality and patient safety, at the heart of everything we do. The organisation provides a wide range of services offering health care to the whole spectrum of the population from birth to the end of life. The Trust complies with its terms of authorisation as a Foundation Trust.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £23 (standard) or £43 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first three months of employment.

New entrants to the NHS will commence on the minimum of the scale stated above.
