At the University for the Creative Arts the quality of our students’ experience is at the heart of all that we do.
An excellent opportunity has arisen in our Immigration Compliance team, and we are now recruiting for a Senior Immigration Compliance Officer.
The ideal candidate must have good IT, data management and people skills and the ability to work within a busy and fast-developing team.
You will provide critical, reliable and timely information, advice, guidance and support to our growing international student community, ensuring they are fully equipped to benefit from their time at UCA. You will also interface between this student group and other areas of the University.
Experience of the UKVI’s Student Route visa scheme would be an advantage as you will be involved in lots of aspects of compliance activity including:
- Approval of acceptance for study
- On-course advice about rights to work and access to services
- Advice when things take an unexpected turn
- Graduate visa opportunities
- Support with issues such as travel, placement and parental leave
Ideally, you will have a good understanding of current and emerging issues in international student compliance.
As a member of the wider Academic Registry, candidates also need well-established customer service, communication and reporting skills, a good eye for detail and the ability to undertake documentation and training activities.
You should demonstrate experience of working in a service-orientated environment, with some experience in a higher educational environment being desirable. A good educational background is required.
