About the Opportunity

We are looking for experienced highways design engineers to join our team in Manchester and Warrington. You will support with both the continued growth of our talent and capability and the delivery of our long term pipeline of infrastructure design work.
You will be an inclusive leader and will help take our business forward by being open and engaged with our Delivery 4.0 agenda to help transform and improve the way we deliver value to Clients. As a Senior Engineer you will be responsible for project delivery and undertake the role of technical lead on a range of highway and transportation related projects:
- Reporting to the Project Manager, you will lead and mentor a small team of engineers, technicians and apprentices within own discipline working on a variety of projects.
- As a line manager for a small number of staff you will assist with the technical development of more junior staff.
- You will be responsible for the preparation of feasibility studies, technical reports, detailed designs and production of contract documents across a variety of projects.
- Use your knowledge and skills in working together with the team and other disciplines in providing an integrated service to clients.
- Help seek innovative solutions in achieving best value in delivering our services.
- Help development of the team through the delivery of projects and commissions, providing technical and administrative support and leadership where required.

Here’s What You’ll Need:- A degree in Civil Engineering or other related subject
- Technical design experience gained in the transporation sector (Highways, Rail or Aviation).
- A focus on professional development towards Chartered Engineer or similar
