We have an exciting opportunity for a Health Care Assistant to join our established team of Gynaecology staff at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Trust.
The post is available within the Family Services Division at Scunthorpe General Hospital. It is rotational to cover a 7 day in and outpatient service, but at this time are currently only for day shifts. However, when the service moves to the new IAAU this will include night working.
We are a friendly, small, supportive, well led team that can offer a variety of opportunities to further develop skills and knowledge within gynaecology and early pregnancy.
As we cover both an in and out patient area, caring for elective and emergency admissions provides lots of variety in each working day.
The Health Care Assistant post is to provide support and assistance to the Gynaecology nurses within both a Gynaecology Assessment Unit and an outpatient setting, this includes colposcopy, outpatient hysteroscopy, minor operations, oncology as well as Consultant outpatient clinics.
Our Gynaecology Assessment Unit comprises of six chair spaces and six-beds that will be used for patients requiring an overnight stay, including emergency and elective gynaecology patients. We are currently based on the old CCU and will be part of the new Integrated Acute Assessment Unit (IAAU) .
