Job Title: Senior Health Care Assistant (Shift Leader)
Reports to: Manager
Hours – 36hrs per week - 12hrs Shifts 7am- 7pm
Pay - £11.90per hour
Location –Parkstile Lane, Gilmoss, Liverpool, L11 0BG (As part of We Care Group, you may be required to work from other locations at the discretion of the company and with appropriate notice)

About you
Ideally, you’ll have or be working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care. Do you have 2 years experience in the care sector and understand person centered care planning and have a strong knowledge of care industry. What’s essential, though, is your brilliant positive energy and natural ability to get along with people and manage a team and have experience with rota management. You’ll know what good record keeping looks like and be able to manage your time effectively. And, whenever you communicate with a resident or co-worker, you’ll be truly considerate and kind. Well, after all, it’s just in your nature.
Job Overview
As a Senior Care Assistant you will be planning and implementing the kind of care that will give our residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. You will get to know our residents and their families – helping to ensure we deliver truly personalised care. A the shift leader, you will be leading a team of Health Care Assistants, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest of standards and you’ll be a positive influence on the rest of the team, and lead by example. As well as administering medication One of your key responsibilities as Senior Care Assistant is to maintain accurate records of the job you do and build strong relationships with the rest of your team.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Job
Ø To be in charge of all care staff on each shift
Ø To administer all Residents medication when required
Ø To assist in the general day-to-day activities within the Home.
Ø To maintain a safe and secure environment for Residents, staff Members and visitors.
Ø Ensure residents are assisted with their day to day personal care
Ø Assisting with meals/drinks to support our residents overall nutrition
Ø Engaging with residents who wish to take part in social and recreational activities
Ø Supporting the Home Manager with jobs as necessary
Ø Completing all relevant paperwork in a timely manner
Ø Reporting any safeguarding concerns
Ø Promote independence of our residents at all times to improve their quality of life
Ø Accompany clients to medical appointments.
Ø Observe and record clients’ physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to senior staff.
Personal Responsibilities
Attend statutory training and any other training as directed by the management
(Note: In addition to these functions employees are required to carry out such duties as may reasonably be required)
