Frontiers is a young, technology driven company with a large IT department that supports its goals. Our publishing platform consists of tens of web applications serving different needs of our users. All the content of Frontiers journals is also available to everyone on our public-facing website that has millions of views every day. We are always aiming to give the best experience to our users, continuously optimizing and improving our websites and applications.
About you:
We are looking for an experienced frontend engineer to join us to participate in one of the many projects that we are currently working on. You would be closely collaborating with PO, Designers and other engineers to bring the best experience to the users of our platform. You will be also participating in creating our design system, with component libraries for web and mobile frameworks.
Our Tech Stack

Our Tech Stack includes Vue.js 3, Nuxt 3, Tailwind CSS, Vite and Vitest.
Key Requirements:
Minimum 4 years of commercial experience;
Excellent knowledge of modern JavaScript and proficiency in TypeScript;
Good understanding of semantic HTML, and modern CSS;
Experience with Vue.js (our preferred choice) or other modern frontend frameworks (Angular, React, Svelte);
Hands-on experience with Nuxt.js, Next.js, or any equivalent meta-frameworks;
Excellent written and spoken communication in English;
Nice to have:
Experience with building frontend components libraries or entire design systems;
Experience in building responsive user interfaces using CSS pre-processors (SASS/LESS) or Tailwind CSS.
Good understanding of Web Performance and understanding of Core Web Vitals, SSR, CDN, SEO optimization;
Experience with DevOps;
Experience with Node.js;
