The Role
Admiral Pioneer is looking for a Senior Finance Assistant to join the team as we continue to develop our processes as the business grows. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and have a keen eye for detail. In this role, you’ll gain experience in a wide range of areas, including month-end reporting, purchase ledger, and other important ad hoc tasks. It is important that you can prioritise tasks and are able to develop relationships with colleagues across the business, as you will be a key point of contact for queries.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Support in the delivery of the monthly management information, for various business domains
- Perform a variety of control account reconciliations and support the development and improvement of existing control and accounting processes
- Reconcile company card purchases, allocating the spend to a cost line
- Purchase ledger responsibilities including processing purchase orders, invoices and expenses
- Support cash management and bank reconciliation processes
- Support the finance team in providing evidence required for the financial statement audit
- Provide a point of contact to the wider business for finance related queries
- Provide general support and perform ad-hoc tasks as required
Essential Skills and Experience
- Ability to process high work volumes and maintain high accuracy
- Enthusiastic, motivated and able to work on own initiative
- Excellent team player
- Self-motivated, proactive with a “can do attitude” towards work
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with management across the Group
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel
- Strong task management skills including ability to balance both project and ad-hoc work with regular reporting responsibilities
Desirables
- Previous management accounting experience
- Knowledge of MS Dynamics
