Are You Up To The Challenge?
As a Senior/ Executive Game Producer you’ll be taking games from conception through to launch, using your industry knowledge and great project management skills to help external development teams produce the best games.
Your Team Mates
The PC and Console department (PCC) is a totally autonomous publishing operation at Kwalee and we are relatively small by design. Everyone working in the PCC dept over 7 functional teams are subject matter experts and you will work closely with all of them, collaborating to get the best results for our signed games
What Does The Job Actually Involve?
Work with the Head of PC & Console Production, external development partners and other Producers to organise, plan and manage game development and delivery.
Coordinate with Marketing, QA and Analytics departments to meet expectations regarding game content, promotions, localisation, all aspects of release management, etc., and meet release deadlines.
Own the development schedules. Provide regular feedback on the games, with particular regard to the delivery of milestones, both informally and officially via reports to help create successful games.
Liaise with and support the external development team(s) to ensure that high levels of productivity, performance and staff morale are achieved.
Own the developer relationships and act as initial POC for any concerns, issues and disputes between Kwalee and the developer.
Establish and maintain a database of reliable, efficient and cost effective outsourcing suppliers that might assist our external development partners during the production cycle.
Assist with the management and reporting from both internal and external usability sessions.
Assist with the management and reporting from the internal console porting team.
Stay ‘hands on’: play the games regularly and ensure they are fun.
Review the performance and productivity of the external development teams.
Produce regular reports in a concise and clear format.
Analyze feedback and KPIs and make recommendations to improve the game based on this data.
Research and keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in order to deliver the most up-to-date solutions.
Reduce costs and increase revenue to maximize profits.
Report to the Head of PC & Console Production all relevant matters that affect your job and work.
Fully comply with the company’s procedures, processes, strategies and tactics as may be issued from time to time.
Ad-hoc other tasks which may arise from time to time to be assigned to you by either the Head of PC & Console Production, Head of PC & Console Publishing, COO or CEO.
5+ years experience in a production management role within a games studio with at least 2 shipped games;Strong project management skills;
A charismatic, energetic character who can direct and inspire;
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
Outstanding organisational and time management skills;
Strong understanding of PC & console games including game design and KPIs;
Experience of agile project management methodologies;
A “self-starter” mentality;
A strong interest in PC and console games, playing them regularly.
